Hi LOVEs! Happy Monday!
I want to start off this post by saying THANK YOU SO MUCH for reading my previous birthday post and giving me a lot of birthday wishes on all of my social media channels! I felt so special and loved, and I am so happy to call you guys my friends and fans! You guys ROCK! I was pretty dead last week because right after my birthday party, I went to H&M to get in the line for the new Balmanxhm collection and waited for almost 8 hours. After that I had to get ready for a shoot and the UNIQLO launch party with only 30 min nap!! I will tell you more about each event along with the looks in the future!
Now onto today's look. A few posts back, I shared
with you guys. I mentioned that I've created a look that highlights how versatile the dress is because it can be worn as a top. Well, here you go! :)
When I was young, I only got a small amount of pocket money from my parents and couldn't help but manage my clothing shopping within a budget. It was pretty tough to be honest with you, but that experience actually helps me wisely shop nowadays. Whenever I go shopping, it always becomes natural to me to picture in my head whether or not I can restyle a piece in another way if I purchase it. That's why I couldn't resist
, I could totally evoke myself wearing it as a top.
As fall arrives, I am getting into darker hues both in fashion and beauty and this fall trend, Neo-Victorian, is something I gotta love this season. The dress doesn't have sweet lace details, but its elegant high-neck ruffled collar and sleeve cuffs are just perfect enough to represent and enjoy the trend, right?I wanted to make the look with a mix of modern, so I went for a
and
. Then, I added fringe earrings to accentuate the victorian vibe. Adding a pop of color always seems fun, which is why I finished the look with a
.
I really enjoy showing the versatility of the pieces and make them rework in a completely different result! So I hope I can show more of these on the future posts! What do you think?
Have a great evening, babes! ♥

Hi LOVEs!!!! Happy Monday!
I hope you all had a fun, awesome and safe Halloween! This year, I got to dress up two days in a row and celebrated it with my friends, and I really loved my costumes, which was a zombie gypsy princess and a mermaid hair cute bunny ( you can check both on my
;) ) I really like being so creative in terms of hair and make-up, and I took advantage of my lovely mermaid hair color to create pink and purple color-mixed bunny ears!!
Now that it's November, I can' be more thrilled because my birthday is coming up in freaking TWO DAYS! I have no plan at this moment, though! haha What should I do? Also, I can't believe this year is O N L Y two more month left!
As the season shifts, I always love getting inspired by looking through all the seasonal trends, and one of the most appealing trends I wanted to try and sport is "
Nouveau Victorian
." Then, I came across this
as I was hunting for a fall dress. Not only is the price super duper wall-friendly, I just also can't get over everything about
-- high-collar, ruffled, floral prints, and button details on the neck. Especially these ruffles are what make the dress so adorable. The length, of course, was not very flattering on me because of my height, so I had to adjust it with the wide belt. I styled it with a pair of red sandals since it was pretty warm when I shot this look, and I am glad I did! It shows that you can still wear sandals during fall while the look is totally fall appropriate. I finished off by wearing my favorite
and
to emphasize the Victorian vibe. Light-curled side ponytail definitely gives some feminine flare along with the jeweled earrings!
I can't wait to rock this dress, re-styling with more layering, autumn colored pieces, and fall boots! I actually made an outfit using
as a top, so stay turned for the look!
Have a great & productive Monday, my dolls!

Hi LOVEs! Happy Labor Day!!!!
I will try to make today's post short and sweet because it's a holiday! ;)
I wore this look a week ago when I was hanging out with my friend. I wanted to dress up because it was her birthday, but I only got to sleep for a few hours the day before since it was insanely busy!!! Even though I am a total heal-lover, I couldn't help going for a pair of comfortable shoes that day so that I could save some energy to have fun with her because I knew we were going out for some shopping! lol
Wearing black and white is always so chic and stylish. I used to not be quite in love with this combo. Personally, it felt too simple, yet I am a big fan now!!!! Maybe because I have a pink hair, which is such a great statement accessory especially for a pop of color, I realized that black and white ensembles are NOT simple after all! It's actually an ultimate killer go-to outfit!
For the look, I chose a maxi skirt with side slit styling it with a lace cropped top. These pieces definitely have feminine aspects, so even though I decided to wear low-heeled booties to finish the look, it doesn't look too casual and it is still appropriate for the meet-up with my birthday girl! If you are a short girl like myself, try to opt for boots/booties that are pointy! I know it's always challenging for the shorties to find the right boots, but the design gives you the trick of lean and lengthy legs! That said, I am so pleased to recently get my hands on these awesome booties from Qupid via Charlotte Russe where you can find an amazing selection of pointed ankle boots!!
What do you think about today's casual look? Hope you love it!
Have a lot of fun on your Labor Day! ♥

Hi LOVEs! Happy June!
If you have been following my blog over the past two years, you probably remember the wildest hairstyle I had in my life - A side shaved look! Since I always take extra care to dress up from head to toe, the hair style and hair color I have at the time definitely influences my outfits. When I had a side- shaved hair, my clothing style was more mixed with grunge and street style, and I LOVED IT! Because I enjoy trying out any kind of style, I had a lot of fun styling them! Yet, after I decided to grow the shaved part, I again slowly switched what I wear. So it's been forever since I last wore a grunge and street mixed style!
This Alexander Wang x H&M T-shirt dress is still by far my favorite, even though it seems like the hit is fading away and everyone is now super thrilled with the new H&M collaboration brand. But this dress is perfect for me to just throw on and there is a lot of ways to style it! For this edgy street style look, I paired it with some strap heels to give a touch of sexiness and then I added a bunch of gold accessories. I know that camo jackets are kinda burned out, but I've kept this jacket because it's a versatile item. It looked amazing with the dress and added a bold and edgy vibe, which I further accented with some dark purple lipstick.
Let's talk about a bit of my new favorite hair do! I am totally in love with the topknot hairdo. It was actually the first time for me to try it, but I was amazed by how easy it is to style and how cute it can look! I really love how this topknot hair adds a playful effect to the look! What do you think about this hair?
By the way, I apologize if there are a lot of pictures to look through today! James and I were just so stoked with the location, lighting, and how everything is turned out on the camera! It was so hard for me to narrow them down! Hopefully you enjoy them, though!
Have a lovely day, cutie pies!

Hi LOVEs! Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
Today's look is all about layering and edginess, and this is definitely one of my favorite ensembles in all-black with a touch of color. People tend to wear dark colors during winter, and so do I. However, I love playing with some hues and making the look both edgy and fun. That way, I don't feel dull and sad. This is especially when you live in a gloomy and rainy city like I do!
I'd been on the look-out for a chunky v-neck pastel sweater for the longest time, and I finally found it on sale at
ZARA
a while ago. I normally wear a small size, but decided to go with one size up for an extra bulky silhouette. At the same time, I scored this
as well. It's impressive that I can rotate the slit to whatever position I want to! I can put it on the side, front, or back. I adore the combination of an oversized knit with a maxi skirt. Since I had scored the perfect pieces, I figured I should try it on right away, yet it's way too cold right now to wear the skirt by itself, so I paired it with leggings underneath. I love the contrast of their different textures. Whenever I wear a maxi skirt/dress, I always style it with a pair of platform shoes to add some extra height. I picked my all time favorite booties for the added slimming effect.
You can never go wrong with a
to create an edgy vibe. And if you have a printed black and white scarf, that's even better to emphasize the vibe. These items aldo help you beat the cold. To complete this edgy look, I opted for a
, and of course my awesome hair is doing such an awesome job!
The
is still running, so don't forget to enter!

Midnight Stroll in Leopard Coat
Photographed by Tadashi Kayo // Jose Rizal Bridge
_________
Hi LOVEs!!! Hope your day has been going well so far!
I don't usually post at night, but recently my Internet connection had been down for a while and I just couldn't wait to get this out since I am finally reconnected! Today's post is all about night time fun, as I'd like to share some good photos I took with a killer background view while I was hanging out with my friend several nights ago! Ever since college, I slowly transformed into becoming a night owl, and now I always find myself having the most fun after midnight. Driving around the city with my friends, indulging in the nightlife, enjoying a cheap late night dessert at my favorite restaurants -- those are the activites I enjoy most. Personally, I get so inspired at night. Who's with me?
Yesterday we finally had such a beautiful sunny day after some horrible rainy weather, and a few weeks ago the city was completely covered with an awesome fog! So my friend and I took advantage of the misty scenery and snapped some night shots with the fog as a perfect creepy backdrop! This fog absolutely makes the city look even more beautiful and creates a different atmosphere that gave me a weird but interesting feeling. I was literally looking at the city for over 10 mins without thinking of anything... I was just lost in the impressive view. It was a calm nighttime stroll and I loved it!
What's your most favorite thing to do at night? I meant like "late night"... :)
Have a wonderful evening sweethearts ♥

Hi LOVEs!!!
This is another set of photoshooting I did with Enrique, a Cali photographer, back in August. In the previous post, I shared with you the first one wearing my favorite leopard slip dress from Forever 21. I hope you enjoyed it! I was very fascinated with how versatile this dress actually is, and I am so excited to show you the completely different way of its styling today!
First of all, I really love this night time setting that can totally go with the vibe this look creates. Edginess, secret, dark side, and wildness. I believe there is more than that. I always love photoshooting at night especially when I am wearing something more of edgy and grunge just because it emphasizes the look. I am very pleased we ended up shooting this look when the sun went down.
I'd been looking for a perfect leopard top for years and didn't realize until now that I didn't need to own an actual top if there is an alternative piece. Save less, style more! To my surprise, the slip dress is successfully turned into a leopard flawless top, and it doesn't look awkward at all. Even though this ensemble seems very appropriate for summer, it still be wearable for fall when you switch to a chunky knit cardigan and a pair of fall boots, or even adding other fall items such as a scarf.
But this time, I styled it up with staple leather pieces which are always sublime to instantly create an edgier look and with my favorite fall essential, a felt fedora.
Can I talk about a bit of that? If you love a fedora as much as I do, I recommend the way I styled my hair. It's super easy yet tasteful. First, slightly curl your hair including your side bang. Second, make a lower pony tail covering the hair tie with a smattering of the hair around it. Finally, put your favorite fedora on and adjust the pony tail if needed. Very easy, isn't it?
I hope you enjoy all three looks I created with this lovely yet versatile leopard slip dress, and tell me which one you like the most on the comment below!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

Hi LOVEs!!!
In past interview about me and my fashion, the first few question I was always asked were 'how would you describe your style?' and 'what is your fashion/style inspiration?" I would quickly answer these questions with: "my style is "diverse and versatile." Ever since fashion became party of my life, I have been inspired by the variety around me.
Of course, I receive the most inspiration from the environments that I live in. Japan is a world innovator in fashion, with tons of independent and home-grown styles seen on the streets of Tokyo, as you may be aware... Although I didn't dress in all of these styles, I used to check our many of the fashion magazines and became familiar with the specifically features the particular fashion styles. Some were really crazy to me and not quite my style, but I still studied from for inspiration. Then, I came to America, which is considered to contain one of the most diverse populations in the world. The fashions of so many cultures come together here in America. I believe my fashion is heavily inspired by both American and Japanese cultures, and so crating my own individualized look from these two influences has become my signature style.
With that in mind, unlike the previous post, today's outfit is totally different, isn't it? Once in a while, I love dressing up in a style inspired by Punks, Club Kids, and Street fashion. I got my inspiration from a Boy London style to achieve today's outfit featuring Dress To Kill Miami. I was ecstatic that they asked to work with me because they carry the styles that I love. In this outfit, I am wearing their Girls Just Wanna Have Fun tee & Lonton Trash Ceres Zebra Calfhair Heels. No doubt these instantly became my favorite pieces. I normally wear size Small, but I picked Medium to wear it oversized. Even still, it fits me just right!!! No explanation is needed for these kick-ass shoes. They are now the tallest and craziest shoes I have in my closet! lol I am a big shoe fan, and I am especially crazy about platforms. The elastic bands across the top of my foot (or vamp) give the right amount of sex appeal, too!
If you keep an eye on what is trending, then you know what the next big hit will be this spring and summer, right? Yes, SPORTY!!!! A handful of spring collections on runways channeled a SPORTIF touch fused by modern fashion, and I can't simply ignore the trends. It's too cool not to try it and super easy to achieve!!! So I went with these leather jog shorts and a men's backpack and accessorized in a studded gray beanie by Shop Chic Stud LA and gold accessories. Wearing the white lace sleeve top underneath of the T-shirt completely topped off the look and is great way to add that touch of femininity that can sometimes be lacking in street fashion.
So why not try your own hand at styling it up?
You can shop the T-shirt and zebra heels as well as other awesome pieces at Dress To Kill Miami with 10% off any order over $75 using the code "BABEAIKA"! Don't miss this special offer!
