I’ve been sharing a few looks featuring this amazing silky shirt dress from DVF and showing you 3 different ways to rock a shirt dress in totally different styles and vibes.
Personally, I just like a piece that is so versatile because I can expand my wardrobe without buying extra pieces. Also, it’s so important not to waste your money and show some love to what you really adore, therefore, restyling clothes and creating a whole different look using the same piece is my way of doing that. Besides, it really helps me polish my styling skills by brainstorming the outfit ideas.
On the first look, I wore this shirt dress as a maxi dress with a striped sweater over it, and I styled it just like a regular shirt dress for the second look with some layers. Now, comes my final look! I saved this look for last to share with you guys because this is definitely my go-to & favorite look among all the looks.
I’ve been telling you nonstop that the weather around this time is very fluctuating. So, that makes it hard for us to really figure out how to dress every day. One of the spring must haves is definitely a trench coat.
Although the temperature isn’t still warm yet enough not to have layers, a trench coat is such a seasonal piece that you can easily add a layer in a proper and stylish way. We can’t really say no to this amazing lightweight outerwear for spring. The trench coat is undoubtedly a classic - you can instantly elevate your look and appear more polished.
This DVF shirt dress is a perfect alternative version of a trench coat. Not only is the color a flawless olive green, it is designed with 4 slits at the bottom, so it moves dramatically as you walk, just like in the pictures. I am especially super petite with narrow shoulders; I can look taller and bigger, which I really appreciate. You know I always keep my eyes open on how I can make myself look taller. Ha!
I kept the look with the same color scheme as the shirt dress. I don’t know if the camo pants are still on right now but I kinda liked how they added a right dose of edginess. A white mock neck top absolutely one of my favorites at the moment. It’s a perfect substitute for the black one I was wearing all the time during the cold months. As I said, it might be tricky to dress up these days, yet switching the darker shades to bright and fresh colors can make a lot of difference! Wearing it with a lace bralet or a slip dress is how I like to style this top - it looks cuter this way, rather than a plain white top!
Here is the collage of all three look together.
Hope you enjoyed all three looks, but which is your most favorite one or favorite way to style your shirt dress? I’d like to know so comment below! Happy Weekend, babes!
