Woo-hoo! Christmas is only 2 days away!! I bet everyone is super stoked right now and totally swamped with last-minute gift wrapping for loved ones. As for me, all my family is in Japan, and I just met them earlier this month in San Francisco, plus this is my 5th year of Christmas being single so I actually don’t have any plans yet. BUT, I am going to shop at DVF— I was offered a $$$$ shopping spree! — on Christmas Eve, so that’s what I am most thrilled about at the moment! As you may have already noticed, this look was shot in NYC while I was traveling last month for my birthday. Every since I came to America, I have longed for a Japanese brand to make its appearance in the U.S. With the most perfect timing, right before I flew to NY, one of the most prolific Japanese brands MOUSSY, launched their first store in SOHO. They are also very famous for well-made denim and the collection.
The store was surprisingly pretty, especially their fitting room with a floral wall and gigantic mirror, and my eyes were sparkling due to so many lovely clothes I got to try on. I splurged on this oh-so cozy long gray cardigan and frayed hem skinny jeans! I have been in love with both of them so much!
The jeans were actually cropped, but I am petite with short legs (ugh, #ShortyProblems!!!). But they turned out to be the perfect ankle jeans with perfect frayed hems, which I’d been looking for for decades! And look how perfectly those fishnet socksgoes with the jeans! This trend is absolutely my number one obsession I could literally die in. I am so glad I brought these mules to NY. (only $22!!!! ) Otherwise, I had no idea how this look was put together! Haha
If you are a big fan of Japanese brands, I totally recommend you to go hop in their newly opened store in SOHO. I promise, you will have such an amazing experience in there and make sure to at least try on their super cool jeans!
