Hi LOVEs! How was your weekend?

I

previously shared a look

with this

black romper

and I promised that I would post another look demonstrating how you can transition a summer staple piece into a fall-appropriate look. So here you go!

As you can see, the leaves are turing into brilliant reds and oranges, the wind is getting chilly, and everywhere you look there is "pumpkin spice." The change of the season means also a time for reorganizing the wardrobe. I love how my mind also feels cleared out after getting rid of unused items, while welcoming new seasonal clothes to my closet. In my closet clean-up, there are A L W A Y S pieces that I can't get rid of even if I am sure that I won't be wearing them as often. This salmon pink oversized blazer is actually one of them.

I am so pleased that I've kept it for a long time because it actually goes so well with the romper. The blazer also makes the romper wearable during the fall season. I don't know if the color is trendy enough, yet it gives a nice touch of playfulness into the look.

In addition to this blazer, these

leopard booties

are also a few years old. I don't think I can say BYE to them until I find a better pair. You know, leopard prints are always a great choice to add a little pop to any outfit!

Do you have anything that you have kept in your closet for a long time, but you find it's actually still working after all the years?

Sending a wish for a great start to the new week!!

Hi LOVEs! Happy Sunday!

Ever since

suede skirts

have been a big trend, I'd been dying to get my hands on one too. Unfortunately luck wasn't on my side, and I was about to give up on the hunt... Then I was reached out to by this Israel brand called

CASTRO

, and they gave me the luck I was waiting for!!! On top of that, I was really impressed by their passionate for fashion, their goals, and who they are -

Castro

is the Israeli answer to global fashion. It incorporates the love and passion for fashion, quality and design. Those aspects together with the Tel Aviv and Israeli character whose source is in their nature as people and as a fashion house: energetic, colorful, urban free, happy, and sexy, with a pinch of chutzpah.

I am so happy to style a fall-ready look with their lovely pieces and share the look with you guys! I adore their urban, sophisticated, and fun style! Of course I had to pick up this suede mini skirt and decided to make a casual ensemble along with it. I selected an

off-white top with a deep open-back design

and a pair of

leather oxford shoes

! I added  vintage chain printed scarf gifted by my grandma as a transitioning element to the look, and I can't get over how the chicness of the entire outfit is elevated! I've been owning this scarf, and I finally figured it out how to rock it! I topped it off with some cute accessories including their

multiple-colored bag

and

double sided pearl earrings

! This bag is so on point, I love the mix of burgundy color and chain straps!!

This is probably one of my favorite looks that I have done recently! What do you think guys?

Hope your weekend has been treating you nice!

Hi LOVEs!!!!
I apologize that I haven't posted anything for a week... Last week was pretty crazy, and I am so glad this week seems less busy!
I am kind of surprised that I really didn't have a chance to share a look with rompers till now, and you know they are such a perfect alternative piece to a dress and easy-to-wear. Especially the one I am wearing today is super sleek and could be wearable to work with an oversized jacket or blazer! Mine is from StyleMoi - one of my favorite online shopping destination for tons of affordable yet stylish clothing. I really love the cutout and ruffle details on the shoulder, and this romper has actually a lovely looking from the back as well!
To me, rompers are meant to wear during spring and summer because of the light textures, but in fact you can still rock them in the early fall by mixing them up with some fall essentials, like chunky cardigans, boots/booties, hats, and cardigans!
I decided to go for a pair of leopard booties for a pop of prints and then topped it off in a baker boy hat. I styled my hair in a low messy bun to highlight the shoulder details. I adore this hair style so much because it creates an effortless and chic vibe. I bet this will be my go-to fall hairstyle!
I actually wore this playsuit with a boyfriend blazer, but first I wanted to show you guys how cute this romper is without anything over it! I can't wait to show you the look soon because it's more fall appropriate!!

Have a lovely Tuesday, my dolls! ♥

Hi LOVEs!!!! I hope you all had a lovely weekend and have a great start to the week!!!
Since last Saturday I decided to take a break from all social media - no Instagram, no Facebook, and no Snapchat (this is an exception because I wanna see all the fun lives from NYFW! :p ) To be really honest with you, for the last several weeks I have been easily swayed by and been extremely frustrated by what I perceive as too few likes and/or followers on my social channels, especially my Instagram.  I've constantly been comparing myself to other bloggers or Instagramers. I knew I really shouldn't because it's unhealthy and isn't the right thing to do. It actually put me into a negative cycle, a like really awful one. Then, it ruined my self-confidence and invited self-doubt, making me think I am not doing well or that I can't be successful. Even though being consistent is one of the keys for success, everyone knows that this industry is also number driven. However, if you lose who you are and don't enjoy what you do... or if don't feel happiness from it at all, then you gotta change something to make it better, and more importantly, to make YOU feel better. So my decision was to just take a break, breathe and think back to what I wanted to do and to be when I decided to take this blog more seriously 2 years ago..
To my surprise, it helped me so much. Like TONS! I felt so revived and refreshed. I feel alive, and my confidence is slowly returning now.
In this world, although it's very competitive, it's so important to have a "real" friend that you can honestly talk to and support with each other. And mine is absolutely Diana of Different Colors and Different Styles. She found me through Lookbook.nu last year and coordinated a meet-up with local Seattle bloggers. She isn't based in Seattle (too bad! :( ), but her husband is from here, so we planned to hang out more before she left. She is really a sweet and genuine girl, and I instantly like her a lot because I felt some common bond - for instance, we both are from different country. Since then, she has become my blogger BFF, and for these last few weeks, she has always been there for me and wholeheartedly encouraged me. She was definitely a life saver, especially with the situation that I am here being away from my family and all of my close friends have either gone back to Japan or moved to a different state. I can't thank her enough for her deep cheering and loving me for who I am! Thank you so much Diana!

I don't want to really say that the end of summer is super close, but at the same time I am so thrilled to see that a lot of my fall favorites, such as cozy knits and sweaters, cute printed coats, lots of hats and scarves,  etc. are stocking up in stores. I just got my hands on some fall-ready items from Forever 21 last week, and a pink blush sweater is my current obsession right now! The texture is literally like a cozy pajama! I am planning to shoot a look with these hauls, so stay tuned! <3
Wearing houndstooth gives me the feel of autumn, and that's why I decided to rock the print on today's post!! There always are some kinds of 'never-unstylish' pieces , like a Chanel suede jacket. It's not too much to say that the houndstooth print is the one of them! I mixed the print up with my all-time favorite ankle bow pumps and went for a gold top and lightweight white biker jacket, topping over the shoulder. Maybe I should have switched to a darker shade of outerwear, but I guess it's working as-is since it's still September!
Are you guys all officially ready for fall? Thanks for stopping by! ♥

Hi LOVEs! Happy Labor Day!!!!
I will try to make today's post short and sweet because it's a holiday! ;)

I wore this look a week ago when I was hanging out with my friend. I wanted to dress up because it was her birthday, but I only got to sleep for a few hours the day before since it was insanely busy!!! Even though I am a total heal-lover, I couldn't help going for a pair of comfortable shoes that day so that I could save some energy to have fun with her because I knew we were going out for some shopping! lol
Wearing black and white is always so chic and stylish. I used to not be quite in love with this combo. Personally, it felt too simple, yet I am a big fan now!!!! Maybe because I have a pink hair, which is such a great statement accessory especially for a pop of color, I realized that black and white ensembles are NOT simple after all! It's actually an ultimate killer go-to outfit!
For the look, I chose a maxi skirt with side slit styling it with a lace cropped top. These pieces definitely have feminine aspects, so even though I decided to wear low-heeled booties to finish the look, it doesn't look too casual and it is still appropriate for the meet-up with my birthday girl! If you are a short girl like myself, try to opt for boots/booties that are pointy! I know it's always challenging for the shorties to find the right boots, but the design gives you the trick of lean and lengthy legs! That said, I am so pleased to recently get my hands on these awesome booties from Qupid via Charlotte Russe where you can find an amazing selection of pointed ankle boots!!

What do you think about today's casual look? Hope you love it!
Have a lot of fun on your Labor Day! ♥

Hi LOVEs!
It's finally Friday and even better, it's Labor Day Weekend!!! Woot Woot! Do you have any awesome plans, sweeties?
First and foremost, thank you all so very much for the lovely and warm messages on the previous post whether you left them on here or on my social channels. It gives me a lot of courage and smiles, and it's good to know that we are all connected somehow and feel like we are not alone!<3

For the last several days in Seattle, the weather dramatically changed! It has been rainy and the temperature has dropped down like crazy! I wore my first cozy knit yesterday, and I totally wasn't ready for that! I still feel like I haven't checked everything off from my summer to-do list yet! I am really excited to share today's look, because it gives a fun summer vibe!
I got such a cute off-shoulder mini dress with lace sleeve details from New Dress, where you can get everything at extremely affordable prices! I was a little bit disappointed when I received this dress, because it is a bit too long. Well, I think it may be because of me, since I am super petite! haha
As always, I added a black belt to adjust the length, and it actually ended up better looking. It looks like a romper! I opted for a pair of lace-up wedge sandals to create an easy, breezy look.  Thanks to the off-shoulder design and lace elements, I love how the entire look is elevated with a touch of elegance and femininity.
Because of my hair, coordinating myself in monochromatic colors is really captivating me. It was really natural to select black items to finish the look - my all-time favorite brimmed hat and these new sunnies (only $3.05! Can you believe it?!) from NewDress. This look wasn't for a festive theme or anything, but the combination of a faux suede fringe bag and this lace off-shoulder dress is definitely perfect for that occasion! Maybe I can wear it next year?!

Hope that you all have a fun & amazing Labor Day weekend! I am planning on seeing my girl friends from LA, I am so excited! Make sure to follow me along on Instagram & Snapchat (@fashionistaika)!!!

Ciao, cutie pies! ♥

Hi LOVEs! Happy Fri-YAY!

I've been in love with these

Topshop

moto ripped jeans

ever since they were my own, and my fondness for them has never decreased. Not even tiny a bit. Plus, these are first in the rotation when it comes to making white-out looks. You can check how I styled them for other white-on-white looks both

HERE

&

HERE

.

I decided to go for another whiteout ensemble because I got

this extremely comfy crisp white t-shirt

also from

Topshop

! I knotted the shirt to show off my belly because it was quite hot, and it made a huge difference to expose some skin and feel the air. Even though it was totally working with just these jeans and tee, I added a denim shirt and tied it around the waist for a more elevated look! I am definitely so pleased with the way the outfit ended up. My #RainbowHair even contrasts well with

the denim shirt

, and it's fun to mix up a little color against the white palette while still clearly retaining the white-on-white look.

Speaking of my hairstyle, the 'topknot' is such a go-to hairdo at the moment, especially when I simply want to add a little something more! It's preppy and playful! And with

these

Polette

purple sunglasses

? My life is complete!!! I have to admit that today's look is absolutely one of my favorite summer looks!

Hope you are all having an amazing week so far and so ready to kick off a fun weekend!

Hi LOVEs! Happy Tuesday!

I can't believe that summer will soon come to the end, and we are welcoming a new season!

In a few more days, September will be here. Do you know what that means? New York Fashion Week and other cities' other crazy fashion weeks are starting everywhere! Unfortunately, this is another year that yet again I won't be able to attend, and it totally sucks to say "No, I am not going" when my blogger babes asked me if I will be there... :(

But I am so looking forward to seeing all the oh-so fashionable street style photos and my friends’ updates freshly from NYFW to get inspired and to enjoy it virtually. While I am in Seattle I always create some NYFW inspired looks because that's how I can at least feel the vibe! Plus, even if you are not going to Fashion Week, that shouldn't stop you from dressing up as if you were there, right? Therefore, today's look is all about what I would rocking during NYFW!

I finally grabbed

a nude pair of trousers

, and they are one of my staple pieces now! They are super easy to style with everything and a perfect item to elevate a look to very chic and sophisticated. I decided to go with a

striped cropped top

because you can never go wrong with stripes as they instantly add a touch of refinement. The top is actually NOT designed as an off-the-shoulder look, but I styled it that way to add more a flattering effect! I wanted to play with some color to add boldness to this look, and topping it off with reds was totally the right decision!! Not just one color, it's double! I purposely matched my

new lovely red sandals

with my red bucket bag! I really like how this same color matching combo completed the entire look!

Who's going to NYFW and how would you dress up ?

Have a sweet and productive day, lovelies! ♥

Hi LOVEs!!!! Happy Thursday!
Have you encountered a moment that your look is actually not bad AT ALL nonetheless it was put together super at last second? Well today's look is exactly how I ended up! It's so funny that sometimes these looks turn better than the ones you put some effort or take more time.
I got a lovely chiffon cardigan from Newdress and I am totally in love with this rusty pink tone with sleeky texture. It's so perfect for a transitional piece or for a protection from the harsh sunlight. I centered this piece and I decided to go with a vintage top and my favorite ripped knee jeans which was the first things I saw in my closet when I was rushing dressing up! Then topped it off with ultimate summer shoes: a black strappy sandals!
Even if my hair is now a definite element of 'a pop of color,' I love adding a little something extra to a look. That's why I am happy to get my hands on this yellow mini cross-body bag also from Newdress! Isn't it just right amount of playfulness?
I said, this was a last-minute outfit. Then, why is my jewelry game on point? Here is why: I always carry a little pouch that I store my jewelry like rings (adore this set at Boohoo & Urban Outfitters) and bracelets in my bag for an occasion just like this because I believe a little something bling and fun makes a look a lot different, and can even spice up your look! Oh and definitely a few pair of Sunglasses! These are musts wherever you go, and my new Free People sunnies are having a moment right now!

Hope you are having a productive day, dolls!

Hi LOVEs!
I've mentioned before that having crazy colored hair has made me wear single-toned looks more often than ever. My affection for these styles is getting bigger and bigger because they are just so easy to rock. It's so great that you don't need to spend much effort and time coordinating the whole look, or thinking of wether or not each piece goes well together. With that being said, here is the all-gray look that I am currently into. I don't have many grey clothes, but luckily I have this side slit maxi skirt and grey sweater to make the style. During my DC trip, I scored this super comfy and soft V-neck sweater! Though we still have to beat the summer heat, Seattle weather is sometimes unpredictable so this sweater keeps me warm on those chill days, especially when it rains. And its loose fit is just everything!

I decided to pair these sandals with mesh details for a pop of sporty vibe and to add some playfulness into this all-grey look! It was a little humid, so I simply took advantage of it to put my hair in a side high ponytail. I am happy I styled it this way because it gives a breezy mood.

I really want to try one tone looks with some fun colors rather than black, white, and grey this fall and winter! Burgundy, yellow, orange, and khaki... The options are endless! Wouldn't it be fun to make a contrast with my mermaid hair? Which color should I try first?

Have a lovely Sunday, darlings!
